BLUES & Mumbo

The blues clubs and festivals are the place that the band started with Oliver and Chris both having such a strong heritage in this sector. Nominated twice in the British Blues Awards (for songwriting and performance), both of the band’s albums have been heavily played on the blues radio programmes. Blues gigs and festivals remain a fundamental area of work for the band, as it looks to expand into folk and acoustic areas too – they will be performing this year at both Upton Blues Festival (Big Top Stage) and Ealing Blues festival (North Stage).

Mumbo-Jumbo blows away the blues audiences. It is very different from most of what they hear (with barely a six string guitar in sight) and it is perfect for festival afternoon sessions  – just read some of the multitude of terrific responses from the blues press.
